Mosaic of Hipparchus and Albategnius by pommierr

This is a photomosaic of the images of Hipparchus and Albategnius. Just before first quarter, they are easily confused with the pair of craters Ptolamaeus and Alphonsus farther west. Hipparchus is flooded with lava, with no central peak and Albategnius has an off center peak, like Alphonsus. Both craters are more heavily damaged by Mare Imbrium impact ejecta than their counterparts.
Keywords: Compustar, C14, crater, Visual-Back-1-25, Flashlight-Night-Vision
